Qualifying practice for the 2024 24 Hours of Le Mans took place on Wednesday 12 June, with BMW taking the top spot in Hypercar and Proton Ford Mustang setting the pace in LMGT3.

The 24 Hours of Le Mans is a 24-hour endurance race held annually near the town of Le Mans, France. It is the oldest active endurance racing event in the world and has been run since 1923. The race is open to a variety of cars, including prototypes, grand tourers, and GT cars. The 2024 24 Hours of Le Mans will be the 92nd running of the race and will take place on 15-16 June.

BMW took the top spot in Hypercar qualifying with a time of 3:23.924. This was set by Nick Catsburg in the #98 BMW M Hybrid V8. The #36 Alpine A480 Gibson and the #708 Glickenhaus 007 LMH finished second and third respectively.

In LMP2, the #31 WRT ORECA 07 Gibson took the top spot with a time of 3:28.422. This was set by Robin Frijns. The #28 JOTA ORECA 07 Gibson and the #38 Jota ORECA 07 Gibson finished second and third respectively.

In LMGT3, the #77 Proton Ford Mustang GT3 took the top spot with a time of 3:46.735. This was set by Jaxon Evans. The #93 Optimum Motorsport Aston Martin Vantage AMR GT3 and the #54 Dinamic Motorsport Porsche 911 GT3 R finished second and third respectively.

The 24 Hours of Le Mans is one of the most prestigious races in the world and is a major test of endurance for both drivers and cars. The race is always a close-fought affair and the 2024 edition is sure to be no exception.
